I have become more and more involved in the politics of Ukraine and Belarus. I find that I have many friends who either live in Ukraine or Belarus or grew up there.

A friend from Belarus shared this video with me (http://www.burda.ws/video/belarus.wmv). The video shows "peoples footed with flowers, and an another side - armies with OMON". It shows the people of Belarus protesting the recent elections.

The friend who shared this with me asked how it made me feel, "and how this video? terrible, shock, indignation?"

How do I feel? I will pray for these brave people who want to make a better life for themselves and have the courage to act upon it. I also hope that all of us will have the courage to face the challenges before us.

Tristan: Ferrari, Mike: McLaren

As the Formula 1 season starts, Tristan announced his support for the Ferrari team and his love for  Michael Schumacher. His comment, "How can you not like the 7 time World champion?"

 

Mike replied, "The past is the past. Kimi Raiikonnen continues to show that he is the best driver in Formula 1, even if McLaren cannot put a reliable car underneath him"

 

Tristan and Mike (with Cecilia in support) have wagered $5.00 on who will qualify higher for the Australian Grand Prix.
