Merry Christmas

Cecilia Reads.

The Burda family lit the Advent Wreath for the fourth and final Sunday.

Cecilia read the Advent declaration to the ENTIRE CONGREGATION.

Here is what she read:

As we light the first candle of Advent, we watch and wait, and wait, and stay alert for the coming of Christ when things will be on Earth as in heaven. The second candle reminds us to listen to all God's messengers, Like John the Baptist, the desert-dewelling change-proclaiming forerunner of Christ. The third candle shares the light of God's joy. Rejoice!

Today we light the fourth cand to remind us that God is breaking into our lives in new and different ways.

Lego Nativity Scene

Cecilia created this Lego Nativity Scene.

On the left is Cecilia with her creation.

On the right is a close up of the nativity scene.

Cecilia goes to the emergency room.

Yesterday, Cecilia went to the emergency room. It seems as though we encounter some of our nastiest illnesses around the holidays.

All is well. Cecilia has a virus which excarbates her asthma. The doctor prescribed steroids and a different inhalant.

This is an electronic Christmas card from a client in Germany (who has offices in Malta and the Czech Republic).

I think that this is a very legitimate reason for electronic holiday cards. Devon is also a company that thinks green year round.

Again, an exciting year is coming to an end. Time for me to say Thank You for your great support for our little independent software company. Our whole team wishes you Merry Christmas, relaxing and refreshing days with your family, and a great start into the New Year.

Sincerely yours,

Eric Boehnisch-Volkmann, President
DEVONtechnologies, LLC

PS: As every year, we do not send out Christmas presents or expensive paper cards, but we will support UNICEF's engagement for the children of the world with ten percent of our December revenue. This time our donation will be for the UNICEF projects dedicated to children living in the streets of St. Petersburg, Moscow and elsewhere in Russia.

I thought I would share some of my electronic Christmas cards.
This is a card from the Burkes (from Oregon).
